Beginnings

Started in 1936- taught by P/M Donald MacDougall ( Seaforth Highlanders) who was in charge of the pipe dept of R.G. Lawrie Ltd. After demob from army received tuition from P/M William Norris- Clan Fraser pipe band (1949)

Other Bands and Achievements

146th B.B. Glasgow- LMS Rovers Pipe band (Pipe Major)- Clan Fraser Pipe Band-Johnstone and SFR. Was the pipe major with SFR- retired in 1985 but carried onin role of tutor.
