Angus Bodie

Beginnings

Started at age 11 when tutors came into Kelvinside Academy. A year later- a scout pipe band was formed in Renfrew under the late John Watson who continued my learning and took me into the competition arena.

Other Bands and Achievements

After Renfrew scouts- joined 4th paisley BB under Sam Black and won many prizes at juvenile grade. The band then became Renfrew & District and progressed up to grade 2. Moved to Knightswood under Robert Shaw and continued in G2 until I retired in 1995 to spend some time with my family. Returned to piping in 2005 with Strathclyde Fire & Rescue.
