Occupation

Nerd by trade, secret agent by mistake

Instrument

Snare Drum

Beginnings

I learned at Queen Victoria School, Dunblane at age 10, playing with them until leaving school. Then had a 10 year gap after a few attendances at Dumbarton & Glasgow University bands. I was with University of Luton, after a few years with the Scots Guards Association, based in Windsor, and before that a few years with Milton Keynes & District. After moving back to Scotland, after a 20+ year absence joined Lanark & District at the end of 2007. Joined SFR in January 2010.

Favourite Tunes

Traditional MSR's are hard to beat - Balmoral Highlanders, Caledonian Society of London and Mrs MAc probably top but starting to get into the more rounded style now

Best Moment

Being part of the corps that won the English Grade 1 drumming at Ashbourne one year. Also playing at Murrayfield for Scotland many times with the school pipe band.
